The IUCN Hornbill Specialist Group draws its strength from its members and their respective experience and skill sets. To guide them the Co-Chairs (Drs Aparajita Datta and Lucy Kemp), supported by a Programme Officer, work closely with a group of advisors and a steering committee that includes the leads from each of the working groups. This set of working groups is likely to grow and change as the need become apparent. It is the members of each working group, working collaboratively, across languages and cultures, that will be what makes this specialist group a driving force in turning the tide for threatened hornbill species.
